This universe is the body of God.

Ponder this in all matters.

My comment IV:58-69

In these verses, God the Parent mentions what it means to be truly saved. To be awakened to the truth of origin, the true state of what we are is urged.

Recently, I received an email from a man inquiring about palm reading. He writes that his parents, both Tenrikyo missionaries, are into palm reading. This man is a Yoboku himself and he doubts about using palm reading as a method of missionary work. He is not sure if it is OK with Tenrikyo.

Gist of my reply to him is; Palm reading, magic, and such came from long history of human experience. Therefore, it cannot be denied entirely. Tenrikyo does not authorize use of palm reading as a means for missionary work. Palm reading may tell the fortune, but it lacks the ability to change the fortune.

What God the Parent teaches us is the way to change the fortune. The way is to awaken to the truth of origin, the true state of humankind. Then practice daily contribution and dedication (in such forms like Hinokishin, administering Sazuke, attending services, making offerings). This will better one's fortune.

End of my comment
