My comment on Part 6, verse 1-5

As for the background information, let's see what happened around the time

this part was written:

First, Oyasama started writing this part in December of the 7th year of

Meiji. In the same month, Oyasama wrote the following three Ofudesaki (these

are not included in 1711 poems).

The seeds of your sincere devotion sown day after day,

I have certainly accepted.

The seeds which God truly accepts

Will never decay through all eternity.

When these seeds sprout in the course of time,

It will be the talk of all ages to come

Oyasama then gave these poems to about 8 persons who frequented the

Residence.

Also in this month, Oyasama began to wear the red kimono, and at the same

time she gave several kind of grant, including the grant of hand dance,

which was passed down to now as the "Osazuke". Another thing that happened

in this month is the building of South Gate House where Oyasama would stay

during the daytime and met the followers.

In this part, the Story of Origin will be discussed extensively. The

beginning verses emphasize the importance of verses that come later in

this part. The Story of Origin needs to be told because it is the basis of

the Service. The same power that created man and the world originally is

repeated through the Service to make our mind purified.
