Anyone who seriously considers purposely calming, settling, purifying or replacing the self-centered imagination quickly realizes that in order to do so the self-centered imagination must first be located and identified.
The proper place to locate and identify the self-centered imagination is in one's own mind. Take a moment and say something to yourself. The voice that you are "hearing" is the marvel of nature that is the self-centered imagination.
When all things are considered one might wonder why anyone would want to quiet or replace such a marvel of nature. Indeed it would be reasonable to wonder if it is really possible to do so.
