WHAT IS TENRIKYO?

 Tenrikyo is an extremely ambitious and comprehensive plan for quickly convincing some and gradually convincing all human beings to intentionally evolve and recreate their own self-consciousness.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF VOLUNTARILY EVOLVING ONE’S SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS?

 The purpose of voluntarily evolving and recreating one’s own self-consciousness, is to free it up so that it can clearly distinguish between the one truth of the universal, original, fundamental consciousness at the core of our being and the rather marvelous true creations of our self-centered imaginations.  Once that distinction is realized, it is possible to fully integrate the knowledge and understanding that flows from that truth into a new self-image that is free to function up to its full potential as an instrument of free and unlimited joy.  In short, the purpose of Tenrikyo is to provide the “cure” for any kind of human dissatisfaction as well as the way to contribute to the beginning of a new world of true satisfaction and joy for all.

Obviously such an ambitious goal requires detailed instructions on just how that evolution is to be accomplished and indeed Tenrikyo  provides just those detailed instructions.
