Tenrikyo Dynamic Mission - POWER OF THE ORIGIN

The power of the origin is unimaginable but there are some things that we can say about it from the point of view of our human imaginations.

• The same power, whatever that may be, that gives rise to the universe, gives rise to our self-centered imagination. That is who we imagine our self to be.

• When the self-centered imagination is made totally quiet, settling as a "mind like clear water", what remains is original being. The simple fact of existing. Who we are before we imagined anything about our self and the world.

•  That original self is understood, that is it doesn't have to think about being the first cause or our knowledge of anything. It just understands that that is the case.

• That original pristine self understands itself as being a unitary and unbroken consciousness. Once again it doesn't have to think that that is the case, it is understood to be so.

• Ideas of birth, death, illness, trouble occur after the idea of being a physical body. They do not appear in the original pristine conscious "mind like clear water".

• A human mind is capable of unintentionally or intentionally returning to its original pristine condition.

• The purpose of the Dynamic Tenrikyo Mission is to facilitate the work of both intentionally and unintentionally returning the human mind to its original pristine condition so that the power of the origin, its free and unlimited workings can be known and understood.

• The intention of knowing and understanding the power of the origin and free and unlimited workings is the replacement of the mind of dissatisfaction with the mind of true satisfaction in all things. This is also called the point of view of joyous life. 

• A human mind that has completely settled, "like clear water", exposes and reveals the power of the origin. This is both the "test" and the "proof" of the Tenrikyo Teaching.
